TAN TIPS

Pre-tan Preparation is the key to longevity and even fading of your tan

Exfoliate gently preferably with a body scrub designed for pre-tanning or a non-oily body scrub.  Ensure you rinse all the product off as this may cause a barrier and patchy areas to your tan.

Do not apply moisturiser or deodorant before you tan, only do so sparingly on the dry areas (elbows and knees) and use little so your tan is even all over.

If you are having a professional tan your therapist will moisturise your hands, feet and other areas where needed.

Tanning Maintenance

For your tan to evenly fade gradually, avoid baths and have warm showers. Pat your skin dry (do not rub) with a towel and moisturise twice a day. Most importantly please remember to keep your skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water and keeping up with eating green leafy vegatables as your body needs hydration within to maintain a skin glow. You will find your tan will last longer and when you are ready to remove your old tan this should not be challenging. Remember to moisturise, moisturise, moisturise.

Removal Tip

Soak your skin in the bath or shower prior to exfoliating, the more hydrating your skin is the easier it is to remove old tan and dead skin cells.
